Wonder is Waiting
Great Orme, Wales
Do you remember that feeling of wonder, as a child, when something you’d only imagined appeared before you? I do. It felt like the world held its breath for a moment.
Too often, we get caught up in the busyness of adulting. We stop seeking out those moments, or we’re too distracted to recognize them when they come. But wonder isn’t just for children. It’s something we all need—to feed our souls and give ourselves a break from the ever present noise of the everyday.
On a recent trip, we gave ourselves that permission. We allowed space for wonder, and we were met with it again and again. You don’t need anything but a willingness to let go and be present.
For me, the camera is a way of searching for those moments—the ones that leave you still for a moment and makes the world go quiet. Sometimes, I’m lucky enough to capture it.
This image is one of those moments of wonder for me. I hope, in some small way, it brings a bit of that wonder to you too.
This world is beautiful. You just have to look.
Wonder is waiting.
